Nonlinear Computer Diagnostics (NLS) of the Hepatopancreatoduodenal Area

This study evaluated NLS as a non-invasive diagnostic method for diseases of the liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and bile ducts.
A total of 54 patients were examined, including cases of gallstones, biliary strictures, pancreatitis, cholangiocarcinoma, and pancreatic cancer.
NLS was compared with MRI, ERCP, and other imaging techniques to assess its diagnostic capabilities.
The method showed particular value in visualizing bile duct obstruction, gallstones, and structural changes without contrast agents or invasive procedures.
Combining NLS with MRI improved anatomical assessment and diagnostic accuracy in complex hepatopancreatobiliary diseases.
The authors concluded that NLS could serve as a useful complementary diagnostic tool and, in some cases, reduce the need for invasive investigations.
