This study evaluated NLS (Non-Linear System) diagnostics in 12 elite Russian cyclists over a two-year period to investigate links between idiopathic scoliosis, vegetative dysfunction, and sports performance.
Researchers reported that 83.3% of athletes showed both scoliosis and vegetative dysfunction, while NLS examinations identified additional functional abnormalities and parasitic infections.
The authors proposed that visceral dysfunctions may trigger muscle imbalance, leading to postural alterations, spinal instability, and autonomic nervous system disturbances.
NLS imaging was used to visualize a proposed sequence of biomechanical changes involving neck muscles, cervical vertebrae, the diaphragm, cardiovascular function, and pelvic stability.
Athletes underwent a rehabilitation program including parasite treatment, nutritional correction, manual therapy, trigger-point therapy, and psychological self-regulation training.
The authors concluded that NLS diagnostics helped identify functional abnormalities and monitor treatment outcomes, although these findings are based on the study’s NLS framework and require validation by established medical diagnostic methods.
