This article explores the use of 3D-NLS graphy in the diagnosis of vertebrobasilar system strokes, a serious form of cerebrovascular disease affecting the brainstem and cerebellum. The study analyzed 203 patients, including 153 individuals diagnosed with vertebrobasilar stroke and 50 control subjects without structural brain abnormalities. Researchers compared conventional clinical-neurological findings with 3D-NLS imaging results to evaluate the method’s diagnostic capabilities. The authors reported that 3D-NLS graphy helped identify lesion localization, stroke type, and disease stage while providing detailed visualization of affected brain regions. The findings suggested that conventional neurological examinations alone may not always provide sufficient diagnostic information for these complex strokes. The study concluded that 3D-NLS graphy could play a supportive role in improving the assessment and classification of vertebrobasilar stroke cases.
