CT and NLS Evaluation of Pulmonary Involvement in Malignant Lymphomas

Lymphomas are malignant tumors of the lymphatic system, mainly divided into Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin types, and frequently involve extranodal organs such as the lungs.
Pulmonary involvement can occur as primary or secondary disease and is often associated with intrathoracic lymphadenopathy or systemic spread.
The study compares traditional radiological methods (X-ray and CT) with nonlinear diagnostics (NLS) for detecting lung lesions in lymphoma patients.
NLS showed higher sensitivity and accuracy in identifying nodular, infiltrative, and diffuse pulmonary changes as well as mediastinal and pleural involvement.
Spectral-entropic analysis (SEA) within NLS helped differentiate malignant lesions from inflammatory or infectious lung conditions and improved diagnostic precision.
Overall, NLS provided more detailed staging information and detected additional lesions not visible on conventional imaging, influencing diagnosis and treatment planning.
