This study evaluated the use of 3D NLS-graphy and CT scanning in diagnosing benign tumors of the major salivary glands. A total of 143 patients were examined, with pleomorphic adenoma identified as the most common tumor type, particularly in the parotid gland. The authors reported that 3D NLS-graphy effectively visualized tumor size, structure, vascularization, and surrounding tissue involvement, while spectral-entropic analysis helped characterize tumor morphology. CT provided additional anatomical detail, especially for deep-seated tumors and surgical planning. According to the study, 3D NLS-graphy showed high sensitivity and accuracy in detecting pleomorphic adenomas and was considered useful as an initial imaging method. CT was recommended for larger tumors and for assessing their relationship with adjacent anatomical structures.
