This article examines the use of non-linear scanning (NLS) technology in the detection and evaluation of adrenal gland tumors. The study involved 23 patients and compared NLS findings with CT scans, surgical results, and histological examinations. Researchers reported high diagnostic accuracy, particularly when combining three-dimensional NLS imaging with spectral-entropic analysis (SEA). The method was found effective in identifying both small and large adrenal masses and in assessing their structural characteristics. SEA also helped distinguish between different pathological processes when conventional imaging findings were unclear. The authors suggest that NLS may serve as a valuable first-line diagnostic tool, followed by CT or MRI for further evaluation and treatment planning.
